Description of the problem	2013 volkswagen touareg. Consumer writes in regards to vehicle factory trailer hitch issues. smd the consumer stated the advertising of the vehicle able to tow 7,600 was misleading, when in fact the owner's manual read use only a weight-carrying trailer hitch. Never install a weight distributing or load equalizing trailer hitch on the vehicle. The vehicle is not designed for this particular kind of hitch. The consumer stated he was not aware of any item, such as a boat, camper, etc, of over 4,000 pounds that would not require the use of a weight-distributing hitch.
