Description of the problem	All headlamps flickered with no notice and then went dark. Used bright headlamps but they would not stay on permanently. Had to drive holding brights in manual mode. Immediately phoned vw to explain and they advised i needed new headlamp bulbs. Hard to believe all of my bulbs went out at the same time. I've googled to learn that vw has headlamp problems reported but the consumer is still responsible for the cost to repair/replace.
