| Description of the problem | The cam timing tensioner failed when tried to start the engine. Check the problem online and find out a couple of same issue in volkswagen vehicles. The car is over 5-year warranty but still in 60k miles warranty. Volkswagen of the united states doesn't want to give any financial assistance. Just after 5 years of new car warranty the car got this critical issue in engine, i think this would be an essential design defect from vw. *js |
