Description of the problem	I began to experience engine shut down and returned the vehicle to xxxx on 10/17/14. Xxxx was unable to find or remedy the problem. They told me to take the vehicle to the dealer as the problems that i experienced were the reason for a recall. I contacted xxxx volkswagen. Xxx volkswagen technicians drove my car intermittently over a four day period, their technicians were unable to verify my concern. A corporate technician reviewed my case and car. The corporate technician's remedy was to install a tie to assist with the retention of the transmission connector. A service advisor called to inform me that the issue was resolved and i could pick up my vehicle. I have experienced engine shut down on at least five occasions while driving the vehicle. The vehicle is the primary transportation for my two young daughters. I believe this vehicle is a hazard and another engine shut off could result in an accident that injuries my family and/or others. The previous owner experienced engine shut down as well. The previous owner replaced the battery, alternator, antilock braking unit, air conditioning unit and dash lights late summer 2014 before selling/trading the vehicle. All of these replacements occurred after the win module was replaced. The car continues to experience engine shut off.
