| Description of the problem | Passenger air bag light comes on continuously after seat is moved to allow passengers in the back seat. The light came on and stayed on. The symbol for air bag (warning light on dash) stays illuminated. The red sensor for passenger air bag on/off stays on off. I have seen in forums many people have this problem after getting it replaced, changed, cleared etc. The airbag light should not be on and the safety of the airbags should not be determined by me moving the seat on a 2dr hatchback to allow additional riders to the back seat. My airbag is currently disabled due to this even though all of the wires are in tact and not damaged. |
