Description of the problem	Have a 2008 vw golf r32 dsg. Shifting is extremely rough and appears to have a mind of its own. In fact sometimes it does not respond to my shifts and all and "coasts" until engaging. I have been told this problem can be fixed by replacing the mechatronic unit, but vw denies the issue. This is ridiculous. I have searched issues with it on the internet forums and i am for sure not alone. I think this issue should be a recall for both safety and reliability reasons.
