| Description of the problem | Car is vw golf gti with six-speed manual transmission. Car has 400 miles from new. While coming to a stoplight at slow speed, with clutch pedal fully depressed and transmission in neutral, engine turned off. The action was so quiet that it was not noticeable. When the light turned green, i engaged first gear and released the clutch pedal, but did not move forward. Only then did i realize that the engine was not running. After depressing the clutch pedal and pressing the start button, the engine re-started immediately and i was able to move off as normal. |
