| Description of the problem | As i was backing out of a parking spot on 12/29/17, not quite 3 months after i bought the car, the clock spring failed, which meant no airbags. Since i knew this was previously an issue, i contacted vw directly since the recall was not coming up at the dealership. They told me that the part had been previously fixed in 2016 under the recall, and even though the part failed again in less than 2 years, it wasn't covered under warranty. |
