Description of the problem	The car initially experienced hard shifting since the first week we purchased it. The dealer found no faults. The car eventually had a loss of power while driving due to a faulty mechatronics unit. During the failure mode, the car engine lost all power which resulted in a loss of speed and inability to accelerate. The failures happened while driving. Previous vw eos model years had a recall for this unit.
