| Description of the problem | Timing chain/belt broke at 82,000 miles while on trip to indiana from tx. Told engine was destroyed, would have to be replaced. There was squeaking sound, i went to nearest mechanic shop. They checked it, said it was not belt, but in engine, it broke, then had to be towed to vw dealership in memphis, tn. There they told me i would have to replace engine. |
