| Description of the problem | When the transmission gets hot, the temperature sensor overheats and automatically puts the car in neutral when you try and change gears (from drive to reverse). The dashboard lights start flashing the transmission lights. The car must be turned off and restarted in hope it will work again. There was a recall for this and apparently it was completed in 2009. Vw told us they will not fix it again. |
