| Description of the problem | The vehicle slips out of gear without warning. Has automatic transmission. Engine dash light and anti-swerve slights come on but engine continues to run and rev. Turning off car and restarting will usually restore operation until next episode. The dealer checked all wiring and replaced selector lever module for $1901 but the problem persists. Dealer has had car for an additional week and is stumped. Now waiting for technical advice from vw. As is the vehicle can not be operated safely on the streets or especially the highway due to sudden loss of propulsion. |
