Description of the problem	2007 volkswagen eos with automatic dsg transmission. . Had just exited a freeway and come to a stop at a traffic light. When i tried to accelerate when light tuned green, car would not shift into higher gears so could only go about 20-30 mph. Pulled into parking lot, parked, and shut off engine. Upon restart, could not get car into reverse. Had to have towed to dealership. Vw service representative explained that transmission went into "limp" mode. Also said i was fortunate it didn't happen while on the freeway. No diagnosis as to what cause is as of yet.
