Description of the problem	Chronic low tire pressure readings from monitoring system (tpms). Dealer unwilling to repair during warranty and after warranty expiration. Notified dealer and volkswagen of america in writing with no response. Tires are loosing tire pressure regularly. False positive display for flat tire. The tpms was indicating problems before 12k miles and the tires are still loosing air after 34k miles. Problems have been addressed for over three years as documented on dealer service records. Tire pressure problems are noted by dash display when ignition is on and while driving, and verified with manual tire pressure gauge. Pressure drops have been recored to 23 psi (33 psi recommended). Problems occur intermittently. I have photo documentation and related service records verifying these problems. I consider this a very serious safety issue.
