| Description of the problem | My 2012 vw cc is in the shop as i write this as it has been identified with a defective timing chain/tensioner. It was only a matter of time before my engine had catastrophic failure like the hundreds of others vw has acknowledged. My model is listed on the related vw settlement site as part of the affected models but yet my vin has been apparently left out of the settlement so i have to pay on my own. No one can explain to me why my car is being excluded when it has the problem parts vw has conceded to. I think vw deliberately tampered with the numbers of the vehicles affected to cut down on settlement costs |
