Description of the problemI started the engine and sat in my car a few minutes before taking off when my car died. I waited a couple of minutes and i started it again, but again it died. The fuel pump control module failed. Luckily i wasn't driving the car. I had to have it towed to my house on a sat evening, then again to the dealer on monday. Apparently there is a recall on this. Dealer installed another module from the old stock which can fail again. Vw said they would reimburse me but they are waiting until they have a solution. I don't know why i have to wait for them to pay for the damage. I incurred the cost and by the grace of god i am not dead. This is a very dangerous situation when the fuel pump doesn't receive electricity to pump fuel into the system
