The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact called west houston volkswagen at 281-675-8600 (17113 katy fwy, houston, tx 77094) and was informed that the parts were not available. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and was not able to confirm when the parts were to become available. While driving at an unspecified speed, the vehicle lost power and stalled. The vehicle was towed to the same volkswagen dealer, at the recommendation of the manufacturer, and the fuel control module was replaced. The contact was informed that the part was not the recall remedy. The failure recurred three times and the same part was replaced by the same dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 70,000.
