| Description of the problem | My volkswagen cc is a 2010 with under 65,000 miles on it and the timing chain tensioner failed. It broke off and actually cracked the head so that i need to put in a new engine to have a working vehicle again. This is going to cost me $4500 for a car that is not even 5000 miles over the warranty period. I bought this car 3 years ago and have only put 30,000 miles on it. All of the maintenance has been done at the dealership at a costly rate too. It does not seem like an engine should catastrophically fail with this few miles. |
