| Description of the problem | Decided to look at the 2010 yaris after noticing oil leak in the 2008 yaris. The 2010 had the same leak. Had the 2008 head gasket replaced by the dealer. Haven't had the head gasket of the 2010 replaced yet. Concerned that the head cylinder gaskets are most likely defective. Looked at 7 other yaris, 2008's (5 including mine) and 2010's (4 including mine) that had oil and oil residue in the same spot where the oil leaked from the 2008 yaris sedan. The 2008 faulty head gasket was sent to toyota corporation to be inspected for any defects. We've asked (emailed) toyota corporation of japan several times about their findings with the head cylinder gasket removed the 2008 and they have not revealed their findings. |
