Description of the problemEvery morning winter or summer, i have to wait for my car to warm up in order to drive it up the road if i want to go more than 25 mph. The transmission does not want to go out of first gear until the car is at a certain temp. I can't go up a road that is 35-45 mph if i just started my car, otherwise there would be alot of upset people behind me because i can't go fast until the car warms up. The dealer tells me that is common for any toyota car as they make them that way to ensure they last as long as they do. You should never just get in your car and go. It needs to warm up and get fluids to the proper temperature. Is this a crock because i see other complaints and no one has mentioned that the dealer says this car should act this way and this is normal?
