Description of the problem	I was driving home from work when the battery light came on when i pulled into my drive way. I smelled something burning and there was smoke coming from under the hood of my 2007 yaris. I popped the hood and the alternator was on fire. I poured water on it to put it out and disconnected the battery. It was still making an odd sound so i poured some more water on it and it started smoking again.
