| Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2008 toyota tundra equipped with pirelli scorpion tires, size: 275/65/r18 (na). While driving approximately 60 mph, the rear driver side tire blew out. The contact pulled the vehicle over to the side of the road and noticed that the outside tire wall was damaged. The tire was replaced with the spare. Approximately 30 days before, the front driver side tire blew out under the same circumstances. The aftermarket tires (set of 4) were installed by the dealer (della toyota in plattsburgh, new york) on march 21, 2016. The dealer was contacted, but the tire manufacturer was not. The tires were replaced. The vehicle failure mileage was 181,000. The approximate tire failure mileage was 209,000. |
