Description of the problemRe 2008 tundra, the brake pedal goes almost all the way to the floor and feels "squishy" . Wilde toyota in westallis, wisconsin inspected my vehicle and purportedly installed all new brake fluid and said they did a scanning tool computerized bleed of the whole brake system including the abs pump system bleed. They cahrged me aprox $113. 00 for that service and the issue is unresolved... The brake pedal still easily goes to the floor when the vehicle is running. Wilde toyota states that this is a normal condition for this 2008 tundra as they say that they have other 2008 tundra's that do the same. They state their is no fixing of the issue and that they allege my brake pedal travel is within specifications guidelines set by the nhts.. I've searched the internet and have found other toyota owners whom has the similar issue with their brakes. When the truck is not running, the brake pedal is hard and doesn't go to the floor and that it what wilde toyota says is within specifications. But that information or specification isn't relevant when it come to safety, as what is important, is how the brakes work and operate and feel when driving the vehicle. Please look into this matter and consider modifying your specifications and requirments etc of this issue to have the specifications include the distance the brake pedal can travel when driving the vehicle. Thank you in advance for this service you offer. I have a video of me using my weaker left hand to depress the brake pedal when the truck is running,, but it appears mpg4 videos are not allowed to be uploaded with this complaint, therefore i took two screen shots of the video which i am send. One picture shows the top of the brake pedal is resting at approx 4" off the floor, and the second picture shows the top of the brake pedal is 1/2" off the floor when depressed by my left hand and the engine running.
