| Description of the problem | While driving my 2007 tundra with only 62k miles, the anti-lock brake system (abs) controller failed, causing all four wheels (brakes) on my 2007 tundra to lock up in traffic almost causing an accident. Thankfully, i was on a country road with little traffic. The lockup occurred when i touched the brakes to slow down. Things would have been dramatically different if i had been on a freeway traveling at a higher speed. Dealer replacement cost estimate: $3700. Only cause given for the failure was "age". |
