| Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2007 toyota tundra. When the vehicle was parked the contact noticed two plastic pieces that surround the gear shift were bent and had crumbled which made it difficult to place the gear shift in the desired gear. The gear shift became caught in between the plastic. The contact had to push the plastic down in order to move the gear shift since the vehicle did not recognize when the gear shift was in the park position until the contact pushed the two plastic pieces downward. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The technicians stated that the two plastic cover pieces attached to the gear shift needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 63,000. |
