| Description of the problem | My 2007 toyota tundra fuel tank strap rusted through and the fuel tank came loose and partially fell out but was held in by the fill hose and evap hoses. The skid plate that is mounted to the strap broke completely off and was found on the highway. I find this incredibly dangerous if it had been the front strap it could have been catastrophic. I know rust can be an issue but certainly not something i have been worried about on a 9 year old truck. I am not exactly sure when the strap broke as i saw it hanging after work on my way to the truck. |
