| Description of the problem | We received a recall for this vehicle from toyota to say the secondary air injection system valve stuck open, we contacted them, the vehicle was under the mileage, but, under the year of manufacture, this was relayed to us on two different occasions, verbally, toyota seems reluctant to put it in writing. The problem they said is caused by a faulty sensor installed when the vehicle was assembled. When the sensor triggers, the vehicle looses power immediately, this can be very dangerous when overtaking for example. On both occasions the verbal message we receive says toyota will not repair the problem, even though they sent a recall letter, and the problem is caused by a faulty sensor installed when the vehicle was manufactured. If you require more information please let us know thank you |
