| Description of the problem | My vehicle set a dtc p2440 for the secondary air induction valve stuck open. I have been told this repair is not covered under warranty due to water intrusion. The only problem is that my vehicle has never been under water or off road. This is a design flaw/engineering defect that toyota created and should be treated as a recall for all affected models for replacement for a better or redesigned part. The cost of replacement for the affected parts is beyond reasonable for all toyota owners. Toyota needs to step up and fix there flaw. I pulled out onto a public road and had no power and was nearly involved in an accident due to this problem. Its not safe and very dangerous. |
