Description of the problem	Toyota frame rust: i was informed by my local mechanic today that my 2006 toyota tundra will not pass virginia's yearly safety inspection because of hole in the frame as a result of corrosion. My truck participated in toyota's limited service campaign d0d in 2014 and a rust resistant coating was applied to combat a known corrosion issue with their truck frames. I was told the frame was inspected, found to be clean, and the coating applied. I contacted toyota and was told "there is nothing we can do for you". I have found existing lawsuits addressing this exact issue on other toyota models including 2007 and 2008 tundras. The settlement in these cases involve complete frame replacement. It is obvious to me that toyota knows there is something wrong, but choosing to do nothing.
