| Description of the problem | There was no accident or incident. I'm trying to avoid a potential accident by being forced to see the gauges that are essentially invisible while driving. The standard tachometer and speedometer gauges in this car have dark faces. When driving on a sunny day with sunglasses on, they are almost impossible to see. This is a definite safety issue as one has to look very closely and longer than normal to be able to see one's speed. The optional se model has these instruments with white faces and would be much easier to see in bright conditions. I feel toyota should retro-fit properly designed gauges to avoid accidents that may occur because the driver was distracted by trying to see the dark gauges! |
