| Description of the problem | The dashboard on this vehicle is essentially melting and turning into a sticky, tacky glue which creates a blinding glare on the windshield for the driver while driving. Toyota did have an extended warranty for this that they put into effect after the problem became public but they put a time limit on it and my vehicle started having the issue just outside of the warranty period. In fact i had the vehicle evaluated in 2017 during the extended warranty period and was told it did not qualify because i apparently was taking care of my vehicle too well. Now toyota is saying i'll have to replace the dashboard myself. It is really hard to drive on bright days because the glare is awful. |
