| Description of the problem | There is a current recall on the passenger power sliding door cables that are known to break on vehicles from 2004 to 2007. However, this model ranges from year 2003 to 2010. Our passenger side power sliding door cable broke in 2015 while on an incline which slammed shut almost crushing our 13 year old. The driver's side power sliding door cable broke in 2017. Once they break, you cannot open the door. This issue is a safety hazard when it breaks and is a safety hazard after it breaks as there is no way to exit the vehicle. The recall needs to be extended to the full years of this model van as there are multiple owners reporting the same issue. Both cables broke while the vehicle was stationary on a city street. |
