| Description of the problem | This is the second complaint i have filed with toyota regarding the rear view venting window: i am writing a second email regrinding my serious concern and dissatisfaction regarding the resolution of the left rear venting window on my 2007 sienna completely dislodging from the seal and falling out while driving with passengers in the rear of the car while moving. I have know spoken with the dealership (littleton toyota) who declined and responsibility for this defect and repeatedly informed me it was toyota inc. Who was responsible. I was initially told my two different service department personnel who said the repair would be "under $30. 00". I was then told by a 3 individual, cassandra, after i dropped the car off to get fixed , that now it would cost over $850. 00 because the entire window needed to be fixed. I called toyota inc. And spoke with cortney who proceeded to tell me that i was out of luck and would have to assume complete responsibility. I asked to speak with a manager and was called by maria, who again told me that i as the customer would have to assume a significant portion of the cost given the warranty of three years had passed. Never mind the serious potential risk for injury, which neither representative would truthfully answer. I have now written the nhtsb and massachusetts attorney generals office to file complaints. I will be filing a small claims case to seek reimbursement for the cost of this window and resolution regarding the right rear venting window as well. This is solely the responsibility of toyota inc. And they should be actively trying to reassure me it will never happen again and appreciative that no one was injured. I am resolute in this matter and will not rest until a responsible resolution is reached. Pictures provided. |
