| Description of the problem | I extended the rear hatch all the way open to unload the trunk, but surprisingly it did not remain open as it normally would. The rear power door lift struts failed, and the trunk came gently down on me. The door was very heavy to keep open with one arm while i finished unloading the trunk with the other. Over the course of the following days, the struts worsened and the door became very heavy and almost impossible to open. I then brought it to the toyota of bedford dealer for service, at a total repair cost of around $400. |
