| Description of the problem | Rear passenger automatic door will not open. In 2009, while the vehicle was under warranty, a similar problem occurred and the dealership replaced part # 69631-08020 (control, slide dr). When i discovered the new problem, my 3-year old son was in his car-seat on the passenger side, so i had to enter through the driver side rear door. I'm glad this was not an emergency situation, for had it been, my son's life could have been endangered. Edmunds. Com lists numerous instances of similar problems. Clearly toyota needs to issue a recall on this crucial safety issue. |
