| Description of the problem | Was driving vehicle on freeway at 70 mph when engine noise started. I soon noticed the check engine light and the oil pressure light was on and stopped the van. Added more oil and restarted the van. I then investigated and found oil leaking out of a ruptured rubber oil cooler hose. I lost nearly 6 quarts of oil that had been pumped out on the highway. (possibly causing a traffic hazard to other drivers) towed van to dealer and had to pay over $250. 00 for repairs to the oil cooler lines. New lines are now all metal lines. Dealer refuses to accept any responsibility for possible engine damage. |
