Description of the problem	The airbag warning light on my 2007 sienna started flashing. The toyota dealer diagnosed the problem as a failure in the wiring harness of the airbag system under the driver's seat. The dealer installed updated air bag connectors and pig-tail harness as per tsb. Dealer's charge: $337. 39. A review of the nhtsa database of complaints for this model and year shows 12 similar complaints out of a total of 173, as of 9/12/2013. Given the critical nature of this equipment, the need for it to operate in an emergency and the frequency of this failure it should be considered a safety issue. The manufacturer should either recall affected vehicles or make this repair at no cost to the owner.
