| Description of the problem | I have been the owner of two 2006 sienna vans and both have had failure of both of the side mirrors. The mirrors become floppy and will not hold their position. This results in the loss of blind spot visibility on both sides of the vehicle. There is no specific incident that causes the failure. It is expensive to fix and would seem to be a safety issue. While there have been several close calls of attempting to change lanes and thinking the mirror was in the correct position only to find there was a vehicle in the blind spot i have avoided an accident. |
