Description of the problem	After hearing a clicking sound when i opened my front driver side door, i took my vehicle in for an inspection. It was found that the door check mounting panel had come off the door. There have been no accidents on this vehicle. It seems that a bad design or poor welding job may have been the problem. I will have to pay out of pocket to fix this problem, either by having the checker plate replaced/rewelded or by replacing the entire door.
