| Description of the problem | Toyota sienna 2006 rear back door lift struts failed suddenly. I was visiting lake tahoe and when i was taking the lugagge off, suddenly the door came down, luckily myself and kids were away otherwise it might have fallen on either me or my kids, i reported this to toyota dealer after my trip and they say it is normal wear and tear and will cost me 450 bugs to replace the struts. My worry is it should not fall suddenly, fix it by recall if some kids come between the door then it might be very dangerous. I feel the too cold weather is the culprit. |
