| Description of the problem | The car was sent to the dealer for timing belt kit replacement, upon inspection the technician found the anti lock brake system is malfunctioning due to the fact the above mentioned part, part # 44050-08030, the anti lock brakes hydraulic unit, is damage or inoperable. The technician told me this is not the first time he has encountered this situation in the same model/year of my car, but because toyota has not pronounce on this matter there is little he can do about it except for replace the part which cost about $1,680. 00, he advise me to inform the proper authorities for further investigation on why the part malfunction. |
