| Description of the problem | 2006 toyota sienna le passenger-side sliding door does not open and close properly. Dealer says a bushing in the "hinge assembly" has failed. At present unfixed - the door will close with significant effort only. Toyota refuses to repair under extended warranty because "hinges" are excluded from coverage. They choose to define the glider assembly that holds the door in the track as a hinge, despite the fact that there is no pivot point, and nothing that meets an accepted definition of a hinge. |
