Description of the problem	The air bag warning light came on. I took the vehicle into the dealership to have it looked at. The result was that the wiring harness for the seat sensor on the passenger side has corroded creating an open circuit. They gave me an estimate to replace the wiring harness and air bag (which has been apparently damaged due to the corroded harness) to a total of $3,000. Wiring harnesses do not corrode in 5 years unless the part was defective at installation. Since the srs system is a major part of the vehicle's safety systems and the system was designed to operate as a whole, repair is mandatory in order to insure occupant safety. Searching the internet there are literally 100s of instances of the exact same issue with the 2006 and 2007 model years. The fact that this issue is a fault in the vehicles safety system and the high incident of this failure occurring i believe justifies a recall for repair of the system by the manufacturer.
