| Description of the problem | Immediately after warranty work on driver side door, the airbag warning light came on (on the way home from dealer). Dealer claimed that there was no connection between their repair work and the airbag problem. They replaced the driver side airbag for total cost of $740. 00. The warning light went out and stayed out for a few months. When it came back on the dealer said the wiring harness also needed to be replaced at cost of at a cost of $2,250. Almost $3,000 for the all the repairs. The dealer cannot explain why the part would fail, or why they replaced the airbag since it did not solve the problem. Failure occurred within the 60 months of the warranty but over the 60,000 miles. Dealer refuses to pay for any of the repairs. This vehicle has not been in any accident. |
