| Description of the problem | The airbag light on my 2006 toyota sienna went off. When the van was less than 6,000 miles over my warranty. The dealer says there is a short in the wiring harness of the airbag under the driver's seat. This disarms all the airbags. I have been waiting 5 weeks for the replacement part. The repair costs $3200. 00, but the dealer discounted it to $1,900. 00. They say the wait is because there is such a demand for the wiring harness! Many drivers are driving without their airbags! This seems to me should be a recall, as it is a safety issue and an undue expense to owners. |
