| Description of the problem | Driver door started to have a snapping/popping sound when opening and closing the door. Sound got worse and felt harder to close. Before bringing it to my mechanic i did a google search of the problem. Found out it to be a known problem and toyota didn't call for a recall but extended the warranty to two extra years (5 years) or 100,000 miles. Mileage on my van is 70,000 miles but 5 years 9 months old, 9 months pass extended warranty. Called local toyota corporation and unfortunately they will not cover the repair because warranty time has expired. |
