| Description of the problem | The door check on the driver side failed. Toyota (local dealer and headquarters) denied it was the door check (a known manufacturing defect) and gave me an estimate of over $1500 to repair the defect. I took the vehicle to a reputable body shop to look at the door and they confirmed the damage was caused by a faulty door check. The body shop did repair the defect, which as i understand it, if not repaired can allow the door to swing freely. Toyota did not correct or acknowledge the faulty door check on this 2005 awd sienna. |
