Description of the problem	Recently my 2005 toyota sienna front door(driver side) is making cracking noises when opening/closing the door because of defective "door check spot welds". Com/2007/10/24/toyota-fixing-600-000-sienna-doors-but-its-not-a-recall-mind-y/ i went to the dealor and was told it is a defective part which toyota fixed for vehicles with 5 years and less than 50,000 miles(refer to the below website) and unfortunately, i brought the car in feb 2008(with 27,000 miles on it) and never made aware of this issue by dealor(libertyville toyota) or toyota and now i am out of the 5 years time-span and got an estimate of $575 from the toyota dealor to fix this door check weld. I called toyota and was told there are not going to cover this cost eventhough it is a defective part? It will be my responsibilty to fix this. Toyota seems to wash their hands on this issue and we ending paying hard-earned money $575 from our pocket. I have the repair estimate from toyota dealor and i can e-mail/mail/fax to you as needed.
