Description of the problem	My 2005 toyota sienna xle sliding door cable snapped 07-25-2011. I only have 63,500 k on the minivan. It's out of warranty. Called local toyota dealership and they gave me a quote of $1,092 to fix the problem. This is not affordable for us. I will probably have to cut and remove the cables and open and close the door by hand and hope this modification does not cause a safety issue. This seems to be a common problem with the toyota sienna. Result of the broken cable is the door is inoperable to the point you could not exit that side of the van.
