| Description of the problem | Both automatic doors on our 2005 toyota sienna have been malfunctioning for the past 2 years. One does not close unless manually pushed and the other closes on people when they are in the way of the door. The "bounce-back" safety feature which is supposed to prevent the door from closing on people does not work. We have barely avoided serious injury with this door and do not allow our children to use it. Toyota refuses to repair (even when it was still under warranty) unless we pay $1,800 per door. |
